Along both the left and right banks of the New Danube, the signed and designated FKK zone begins at km 5.0 and extends downstream (southeastward) for 3 kilometers to km 2.0. However, there are also informal FKK zones on both banks of the waterway. On the left bank, the informal FKK zone begins around km 6.0 and extends downstream about a kilometer to the start of the designated FKK zone. On the right bank, the informal FKK zone likewise begins around km 6.0 and extends to km 5.3, and that 700-meter-long expanse is a popular gay area known as Toter Grund. Dechantlacke and Panozzalacke are both small lakes (or large ponds) that are near the left bank of the New Danube. The entire shoreline of Dechantlacke is an informal but very popular FKK zone, while Panozzalacke gets only sporadic FKK use.
